PWC Sports Athletic Orgnization

Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization Incorporated known as PWSPORTS was organized as a 501c3 Nonprofit youth organization exclusively to promote competitive athletic organize sports for Prince William County, Virginia since 2009. We as an organization provide a positive environment for the development of sportsmanship, athletic skills and character. PWSPORTS operate programs for the youth between the ages of 9 years old through 17 years old while they maintain a good grade point average of 2.5 or better. Our competitive youth sports programs are managed in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Virginia District Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), USA Volleyball Girls Club, National Alliance Youth Sports (NAYS) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).  PWSPORTS serves the youth of Prince William County, Virginia, the City of Manassas, and the City of Manassas Park. We also serve the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

PRINCE WILLIAM JAGUARS AAU BASKETBALL PROGRAM

The Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball Program aims to introduce and promote the sport of Basketball to PWSPORTS. Our goal is to stress the importance of team, friendship and good sportsmanship in the AAU Basketball experience.

Our Program initial registration consist of:

• Gym rental fees
• PWSPORTS League’s AAU Cards 
• PWSPORTS Organization Insurance for Individual Players
• Two Travel Division II & I Tournament fees (Travel Teams & Elite Showcase Team Only)
• Two Division III Tournament fees (Development Regional Teams Only)
• Basketball Team Home Uniform
• Basketball Team Away Uniform

Also additional cost when it is announce during spring/summer season:

• One AAU Division I & II State District Championship Games (Please check the schedule during May or June) 
• One AAU Division I & II Super Regional Tournament (Check the schedule during May or June)
• AAU Division I & II National Tournament Championship Game (Check the schedule during July) 
• NCAA Showcase Tournament for Showcase League Only (Must be NCAA Eligibility)

ATTENTION PARENTS, COACHES AND STAFF MEMBERS OF THE PW QUEST GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM: 

Effective on Saturday, April 27, 2013

• Executive Board of Director of PWSPORTS is rescheduling the volleyball club practice schedule, travel tournament schedule and club registration.

• All Volleyball head coaches, assistant coaches and directors must have and completed the USA Volleyball IMPACT program, board panel screening in person, background check by PWSPORTS, concussion class, coaches contract agreement by PWSPORTS, and additional volleyball credentials before coaching any team. Must present these credentials to the Executive Board of Directors in person or cannot coach, manage or participate with the Prince William Quest Girls Volleyball Club Program.  NO EXCEPTION!

• As a nonprofit organization, coaches and directors must be in compliance with federal and state law that all coaches must sign a coach’s contract agreement before coaching under the Quest program’s name. 

• Coaches or formal coaches cannot use Quest program’s name without permission under our EIN number or our nonprofit status according to PWSPORTS bylaw and operation procedures. If use without permission, PWSPORTS earn the right to follow legal action through federal and state law.

• All directors, head coaches, assistant coaches, parent advisory board members or other staff members must be rescreened in person by the Executive Board of Director before coaching any team or other league activities. NO EXCEPTION!

• We will meet with the parents who attended the previous tryouts and practices.

We are seeking volunteers head coaches, assistant coaches, commissioners who have prior middle school, high school, college or recreational coaching experience. We are also seeking volunteers who have experience of being a head coach or assistant coach in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) or other youth sports national affiliation. As a volunteer coach, you must have the ability to present good character, integrity, roll model, physically fit, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and providing a good moral environment for all players who want to learn how to play advance fundamental competitive sports.

We are soliciting applications from energetic professionals from diverse life experiences who would like to join the Board of Directors nonprofit organization that operates on competitive youth sports for Prince William County, Virginia.

• Organizational leadership and advisement of youth sports
• Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures
• Financial management, Including adoption and oversight of the annual budget
• Oversight of program planning and evaluation
• Personnel evaluation and staff development
• Review of organizational and programmatic reports
• Promotion of the organization
• Fundraising and outreach
• Attend and participate in meetings on a regular basis, and special events.
• Participate on a standing committee of the board, and serve on ad-hoc committees as necessary.
• Be alert to community concerns that can be addressed by PWC Sports Athletic Organization mission, objectives, and programs.
