Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. (PWC SAO) or known as PWSPORTS is a corporation which was established in April 2009 as a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization. This organization exclusively to promote athletic organize sports among the youth of Prince William County, Virginia. We foster the ideals of good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and model the importance of being positive examples for others. Reinforce the importance of hard work, discipline, and encouragement on different variety of sports and organized athletic teams. Build and foster healthy relationships between athletes, clubs and associations. To provide athletic sports for girls and boys interested in playing competitive and organized team sports. To creates an environment in teaching fundamentals and sportsmanship, where winning is stressed, but not at the cost of substituting fun, or team participation. The Board and its members of this organization endorse the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Code of Ethics.

PWSPORTS Competative Youth Sports Programs

Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball League-                   Commissioner Waverly Debraux

Since 2009, the Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball League provided opportunities for all players from Prince William County, Virginia who are young athletes from 5th grade through 11th grade. We promoted youth basketball opportunities for our athletes to develop and grow their character, leadership, mental, and physical fitness capabilities. This basketball league subscribed to the mission and vision of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) for boys and girls.

Starting March 1, 2012, the Prince William Jaguars Exhibition Travel Team was formed. The Exhibition Travel Team consist of 3rd graders and 4th grader learning how to play basic fundamental AAU basketball. These teams do travel abroad to gain experience and exposure while being groomed to play advance AAU basketball in the future.
 
Starting January 1, 2013, the Prince William Jaguars’ Division I Showcase Team (10th 11th and 12th grade) will follow the mission and vision of the NCAA Basketball. Our goal is to teach, promote and prepare these players to play college basketball while attending high school. These athletes will follow their dreams by going to college and play college basketball.
 
We are now seeking Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Instructors. We are also seeking players who are interested in playing the Prince William Jaguars AAU Basketball League. Please contact us by email. info@pwsports.org

Prince William Quest Girls Volleyball League-                                     Director Ms. Wanda Harris

The Prince William Quest Girls Volleyball League will provide competitive volleyball opportunity for girls at the age of 11years old through 17 years old. Our goals are to train players to improve their skills and improve the level of play in Prince William County, Virginia.

There are two types of teams:
Local teams are designed for players who are seeking quality training to develop their skills to make them more competitive on their school teams in Prince William County, Virginia. 

Travel teams are designed for players who are serious about taking their volleyball skills to the next level and willing to commit to an intense schedule of practices and competition. These players are focus pursuing a collegiate career.

Our season just started on April 16, 2012. Tryouts at the Freedom Center in Manassas, Virginia, Chinn Center in Woodbridge, Virginia and Sharon Bacoom Dale City Recreation Center will be announced soon. 

 Prince William Titans Soccer League- Coming Soon

The Prince William Titans Soccer League will start during the spring of 2013 as one of the newest soccer program affiliated with Virginia Youth Soccer Association. This Soccer League is designed to provide youth competitive travel soccer opportunities for boys and girls ranging in age from U-4 to U-14.  We also provide indoor and outside soccer training. The Prince William Titans Soccer League provide all soccer players with the opportunity to participate in a spirited soccer environment, and to instill the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, determination, respect for authority, and self-esteem in the youth of our community. Prince William Mustangs Youth Football League and Cheer-Coming Soon

 The Prince William Mustangs Youth Football League and Cheer will start June 2013. This competitive youth football league will follow the middle school, high school and college football structures through Ametuer Athletic Union (AAU). This league begins at an early age of 7years old through 14 years old training players in positions they will be most suited for.  This football league and cheer is seeking Directors, Head Coach, Assistant  Coach. Promote and Develop Leadership, Sportsmanship, Athletic Excellence and Education Opportunities

Our primary goal is to develop roadmaps (a plan) that will help prepare our youths from diverse communities and backgrounds to become college bound student athletes. Our hopes are to lead in the development and promotion for our youths, assist with standardized testing; Virginia Testing and standards of learning SOL, SAT, and ACT. To organize, coordinate and support sport athletic leagues, seminars, sports combines, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Virginia Testing and Standards of Learning (SOL), and American College Testing(ACT) practice testing, tutoring and mentoring. All funds, income or principal, and whether acquired by gift or contribution or otherwise, shall be devoted to said purposes.

 
Prince William County Sports Athletic Organization, Inc. creates, develop, coordinate and promote sports and education opportunities in which all Prince William County, Virginia youths can participate. PWCSAO, Inc. has taken the lead in response for future development of our community competitive youth sport. For the next few years we will brings together a range of different competitive sport programs involved in the delivery of sport across the Prince William County, Virginia including the City of Manassas and Manassas Park communities.
 
We provided a safe environment for our players who participate in our competitive sports program with the support of corporate sponsorships and businesses to donate funds paying for the cost of renting indoor facility, outdoor field cost, athletic tournament games, team uniforms, scholarships, and other athletic sports equipment, and to pay for players team registration fees whose parents are in financial limitations prohibits them from participating our competitive sports programs.
 
PWCSAO, Inc also promotes and develops leadership, sportsmanship, athletic excellence and to improve opportunities for amateur boys and girls athletic sports competition for the Prince William County, Virginia.

Within a competitive environment, we provide our young athletes who participates our athletic sports program that will stimulate a lasting attitude of discipline, good sportsmanship, integrity, leadership, social responsibility, ethnic and cultural diversity, and educational opportunity. 
  • By teaching and reinforcing fundamentals, conditioning, commitment, teamwork, perseverance, and positive attitude, we provide our athletes the necessary tools to be champions in their team and to prepare them to be a productive citizen for tomorrow. 
  • We are committed to assist our young athletes to improve their individual athletic skills by providing knowledgeable coaching opportunities to play with and against the highest of sportsmanship in an enjoyable athletic environment.

We are soliciting applications from energetic professionals from diverse life experiences who would like to join the Board of Directors nonprofit organization that operates on competitive youth sports for Prince William County, Virginia.

  • Organizational leadership and advisement of youth sports
  • Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures
  • Financial management, Including adoption and oversight of the annual budget
  • Oversight of program planning and evaluation
  • Personnel evaluation and staff development
  • Review of organizational and programmatic reports
  • Promotion of the organization
  • Fundraising and outreach
  • Attend and participate in meetings on a regular basis, and special events.
  • Participate on a standing committee of the board, and serve on ad-hoc committees as necessary.
  • Be alert to community concerns that can be addressed by PWC Sports Athletic Organization mission, objectives, and programs.

PW County Public Schools

PWC SAO and Prince William County Public Schools have entered into a partnership agreement in working with the Community and Business Engagement Office.  According to our partnership agreement, we will be reaching out to all Prince William County students to inform them about our athletic competitive sports programs.
